Origami Animals Concept
Meaning behind the design
The pencil outline makes it easier to appreciate the classic and timeless quality that pencil drawings possess, which can add a sense of nostalgia and authenticity to these origami designs.
Today, we are heavily relying on technology, however, we must also remind people of the importance and value of paper like this origami design.
Each of these colors is represented by their aura and how I correspond to and feel about these animals!
Process Model
Tracing over the computer (similar to a lightboard)
Deepening the lines and scanning the drawings
Choosing colors that would fit their states and coloring in with an iPad
In the initial stage, I came across my wicked problem, which was my doubt about finding 100 animals to draw. I reframed this problem by considering what an animal is. In the end, I solved this by adding mythological animals to my design.
Thumbnail sketches were done first with light pencil work in order to work out potential visual solutions.
In order to maintain my aesthetic, I made sure to utilize the same type of texture and lightness when coloring.
